What are the different types of Loofah?

There are many different varieties where some are good for eating and others are good for sponges. The main varieties of loofah are:

Angled luffa for eating - Luffa acutangula

Ball luffa for eating - Luffa operculata

Smooth luffa for sponges - Luffa aegyptiaca

Smooth luffa for sponges - Luffa cylindrica
